Dear Friends and Family,
Five years ago this July, Heather and I traveled to a small town called Gonaives in Haiti where we were a part of what God was doing there through Coreluv’s ministry in defending the orphan. Little did we know that God was going to completely change our perspective on life and move us out of a stagnate life of complacent Christianity and into one in which we pursue the call that He has placed on our lives. When we went to Haiti we were expecting to make an impact on the Haitian community, which we did in a small way, but we left there completely different people because of the work God had done in our hearts.
Now, here we are, almost five years later, after being stretched in faith and trust in the Lord, healed emotionally, and making many life changes that have allowed us to train in ministry and move one step closer to walking in our calling, and the Lord has introduced us to a ministry in Uganda, Africa. The means by which we were introduced to this ministry was a miracle within itself and a praise report to share at another time. As a result of this divine appointment, we have decided to take a step of faith and believe that the Lord will provide not only for Heather and I to go but for our two girls to come along with us. We want our children to also hear the call to go (Matt. 28:19-20) whether it is abroad or in the US.
On this trip we are joining GO Overflow Ministries the work that they have established in Uganda, in which they are spreading the gospel, discipling believers, and joining in on the restoration that God is bringing to the communities there. Their ministry has been working to help rebuild communities by teaching life and employment skills to the individuals that are reached through their ministry, investing in several agricultural projects, partnering with pregnancy center within Kampala, Uganda, and many other areas (see http://www.go-overflow.org/whatwedo for more about where GO Overflow Ministries is working). Some of the activities that we will be a part of ministering in the prophetic and healing services, working with children in schools, feeding the homeless in the slums, and working with ladies at a brand-new medical clinic. These are just a few of the exciting opportunities that we will have to share and show the love of Christ to desperate people.
We would like to invite you to participate in this work. First, we need your prayers. Secondly, please consider helping us to reach our personal financial goal by donating through GO Overflow Ministries. Our total expense for the eleven-day mission is $16,000 ($4,000 per person). Your tax deductible gift of any amount $25, $50, $100, $250 or $1000 will help to cover my direct costs, needed medical supplies, medications, equipment, school supplies, training materials and Ugandan Bibles.
Upon our return, we will share photos and amazing stories of our work and GOD’S MIRACLES in Uganda! Thank you for joining our team, every dollar you give changes a life. The trip is July 5th -15th and our deposit is due by June 1st. We can receive donations even after the trip has ended.
Babies will no longer be born in the slums and their mothers will be freed from prostitution and poverty as we provide care, education and ongoing support. Men will be encouraged to work and become spiritual leaders. With your help, we will restore and empower these brokenhearted men, women and children.
We are so excited about what God is going to do on this trip as it is our job to plant or to water, but God is the one that brings the increase. 1 Corinthians 3:6
